Semiya Kesari – சேமியா கேசரி
Ingredients
- Vermicelli – 250g
- Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp
- Cardamom – 6
- Kesari powder – 1 tsp
- Cashew nuts – Required
- Raisins – Required
- Sugar – Required
- Ghee – Required
How to Prepare
Total Preparation Time: 20-30 minutes
- Take a pan, heats up 2 tsp ghee, add cashew nuts till become golden
- After that add raisins and fry for 2 minutes till it swells up
- Then add semiya and stir them well in low flame for 5 minutes
- Then add 400ml water in semiya and stir till continuously to smooth non sticky semiya
- Stir continuously till the water starts boil and water drains out and make sure there is no lumps formed
- Once water is completely absorbed, the semiya become smooth and gooye it means the semiya is cooked well
- After that add sugar and stir continuously and make the sugar dissolve
- Stir continuously till semiya absorb the sugar water completely
- After that add cardamom powder, kesari powder and mix it well
- Add 4 tsp ghee and stir it well then close the lid for 3 minute in low flame
- After that move the kesari into a bowl
- Now the sweet Semiya kesari is ready for serve
