Rava Upma
Ingredients
- Semolina – 250g
- Urad dal – 1 tsp
- Chana dal – 1 tsp
- Small onions – 10
- Tomatoes – 2
- Ginger – 1/2
- Green chillies – 4
- Carrot – 1
- French Beans – 6
- Curd – 1 tsp
- Asafoetida – A pinch
- Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
- Red chillies – 2
- Coriander leaves – Few
- curry leaves – Few
- Ghee – Required
- Salt – Required
- Oil – Required

How to Prepare
Total Preparation Time: 20-30 minutes
- Take a pan and add 2 tsp ghee and 1 tsp oil, once ghee melts and heated up, add semolina
- And fry till it become brownish in medium flame, turn off the flame and transferred this into a plate and keep aside
- Chop onions, tomatoes, grate ginger, slit green chillies, chop carrots, chop french beans, chop coriander leaves and keep them aside separately
- Take a pan and heat oil then add mustard seeds, once it crackle add urad dal, chana dal, red chillies
- Once dals become golden, add onion and green chillies, curry leaves and fry them till become golden brown
- Then add tomatoes and salt and saute them till it become mushy
- After that add asafoetida, ginger and saute them for 1 minute
- Then add carrots, french beans, curd and cook them for 3 minutes
- Finally pour 250ml water and close the lid and boil them for 2 minutes
- Open the lid, add the roasted rava gradually and stir it well to avoid lumps
- Stir the rava continuously for 5 minutes till water drains out
- Close the lid and allow them to cook for another 5 minutes in low flame
- Open the lid and stir and mix the rava upma nicely
- Turn off the flame and finally sprinkle coriander leaves
- Now the delicious Rava Upma is ready for serve
