Ash gourd Halwa
Ingredients
- Small Pumpkin – 1/2
- Milk – 100ml
- Sugar – 200g
- Cardamom – 6
- Cashew nuts – 30
- Raisins – 8
- Ghee – Required

How to Prepare
Total Preparation Time: 20-30 minutes
- Remove seeds and sloths of pumpkin then cut into pieces and grind like a thick smooth paste then keep aside
- Heat a pan with ghee, fry cashew nuts, raisins, cardamom for 2 minutes then keep aside
- Take a pan and add 100g sugar with 50ml water, allow them to melt completely
- And heat a heavy bottomed pan with 2 tbsp ghee and then add pumpkin paste and 100ml milk
- And stir them continuously till the recipe becomes thinker, this process may takes 20 to 30 minutes
- After that add sugar and mix them well
- Then add ghee followed by fried raisin, cashew nuts, cardamom then mix them well thoroughly and stir for 3 minutes
- After that add 2 tbsp ghee and mix again and stir till the ghee comes out from the halwa, this process may takes 30 minutes
- Stir it very well to avoid burnt bottom and once it becomes thicker, thick gooey, non sticky means the recipe is in perfect halwa consistency
- Finally turn off the flame and transfer the halwa into a bowl
- Now the tasty Ashgourd halwa is ready for serve
