Quinoa Upma
Ingredients
- Quinoa – 250g
- Urad dal – 1 tsp
- Chana dal – 1 tsp
- Red onion – 1
- Tomato – 1
- Carrot – 1
- French beans – 6
- Green peas – 50g
- Green chillies – 4
- Ginger – 1/2
- Garlic cloves – 6
- Asafoetida – A pinch
- Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves – Few
- curry leaves – Few
- Ghee – Required
- Salt – Required
- Oil – Required

How to Prepare
Total Preparation Time: 20-30 minutes
- Wash Quinoa thoroughly and drain the water and keep aside
- Chop onions, tomatoes, grate ginger, slit green chillies, chop carrots, chop french beans, chop coriander leaves and keep them aside separately
- Take a pan and heat 2 tsp oil and 1 tsp ghee then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds once it crackle add urad dal, chana dal, red chillies
- Once dals become golden, add onion and green chillies, curry leaves and fry them till become golden brown
- Then add tomato and turmeric powder, ginger, asafoetida and saute till tomato become mushy
- Then add carrots, green peas, french beans and salt and saute them, close the lid and cook them for 5 minutes
- Add 350 ml water and boil them for 5 minutes
- Add quinoa seeds and salt and stir it 2 twice then close the lid and allow them to cook for 5 minutes in low flame
- After water drained out, turn off the flame, sprinkle coriander leaves
- Now the delicious Quinoa Upma is ready for serve
