Agathipoo Poriyal
Ingredients
- Hummingbird flower – 250g
- Urad dal – 1 tsp
- Chana dal – 1 tsp
- Moong dal – 1 tbsp
- Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder – A pinch
- Red onion – 1
- Coconut – 1
- Curry leaves – Few
- Coriander leaves – Few
- Oil – Required
- Salt – Required

How to Prepare
Total Preparation time 25-30 minutes
- Wash agathi flower cleanly and chop it finely then keep aside
- Chop onion, chop coriander leaves, grate coconut then keep aside
- Take a blender, add chana dal, peppercorns, 50ml water and grind them like a paste
- Heat the pan with oil, then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, moong dal
- Once it crackles, add onion and saute it well till the onions become golden
- After that add turmeric powder and red chilli powder then fry them till raw smell goes off
- Then add agathi flower and required salt then mix it well
- Add 100ml water and cook them for 10 minutes till agathipoo become soft
- If agathipoo is not cooked in 5 minutes, add some water and cook it again
- Then sprinkle grated coconut and saute it for 5 minutes
- Finally turn off the flame and transferred it into a bowl
- Now the healthy Agathipoo Poriyal is ready to serve.
